The Things I Can't Explain

Only a year after the release of his debut album, Aaron Howard has sold 1,200 copies of 'The Things I Can't Explain' in the northwest, and played more than 100 shows in that same period of time. The payoff? He has captured the hearts of literally thousands of fans, who can't get enough of his melodic and instantly memorable songs, his wit and charisma on stage, and the energy and emotion of his extraordinary live show.

Most of Howard's audience own his CD, know the words to the songs, and sing along at his shows... Howard has a real talent for songwriting.

~ MSU Exponent, Bozeman, MT The now twenty-year-old singer/songwriter began his career playing the fiddle for pop/rock/folk bands in Montana at the age of thirteen. By the time he was fifteen he was performing regularly in coffee shops, bars, and private parties. Then in 2001, he made his first 3-song EP of his own material and began performing as a singer around town. His song If Not Today received enough spins on a local rock station for the kids in his crowds to take notice and he was inspired to make a full-length album.

Finally, three years later, after eleven months in the studio, more than a hundred people packed themselves into a tiny bookstore coffee shop for the release of 'The Things I Can't Explain,' a reflective and hooky collection of undeniable pop/rock hits; Aaron's career exploded. He just finished a tour of the northwest, and he is headed to Hollywood to work with some exceptional musicians and to build his following in the Los Angeles area.

With a tight, high-energy live show, a new, yet ultimately accessible sound and an ever-expanding regional fan base, Aaron Howard's future can be nothing but extraordinary!

Aaron has a future in the music biz for sure, either as a singer-songwriter in the John Mayer/Gavin DeGraw/Jason Mraz tradition, or as a talented multi-faceted session musician.... but more likely, for both reasons. ~ Cameron Smith, Concert Promoter, Indianapolis, IN

This (Shining) is a hit song. Hands down. I know it! It starts off with a great muted guitar strum and breaks out into just pop/rock heaven! Amazing harmonies. The lead singer had a beautiful controlled voice. The melody is great and the chorus sticks with you. It's got the formula to be a radio hit, but it's not formulaic necessarily. It's original sounding. Very fresh and definitely something I would play over again on my iPod. Reminds me of Barenaked Ladies, with it's own twist and even better vocals. NICE WORK GUYS!
