Dance Floor Whore

Influenced by English and American music of the late 70's and early 80's, you'll hear a blend of Roxy Music, Chic, The Style Council and the brothers Gibb. Their theme song toward the end of the CD is reminiscent of ABBA's Dancing Queen with a soulful twist, while other tracks like High Roller and If You Got It pull inspiration from early Hip-Hop. When You're Around is a beautiful R&B ballad and the track Always screams Duran Duran. Their choice of cover tunes explains the eclectic feel: Rupert Holmes' Pina Colada Song and Magnificent Seven off of Sandinistas by the Clash. They've been an overnight success that's been building since the beginning of the 21st century. Playing posh soirees in the Hamptons and packing clubs with perspiring fans in downtown Manhattan, Booga Sugar has performed ass kicking NY disco to capacity crowds at the Bowery Ballroom on the lower east side and at Don Hills in SOHO. Sweet Pea and Booga B lay down the dance grooves while THC makes the whole room swoon with his velvety vocals. Their high energy performance and stylish pop hooks have finally been captured and bottled by the best technology available. Use of Booga Sugar may be addicting but will surely alleviate the guilty desire to do the electric slide or pump your fist in the air with your mini bic lighter.
