Rock N Roll Recidivist

Founder of Empty Beach Records, and Gold record songwriter, Amos Galpin, has compiled a CD of his own work. Cameo appearances by mentors, Peter Cetera and Steve Miller spark the tunes, and bring them to another level. Peter Cetera adds his signature harmonies to You'll Go, and plays bass on Dreaming of Bones. Steve Miller plays lead guitar on the blues-style Down on the Town. Long-time friend / bandmate / instrument-maker, Fletcher Brock, plays the mandolin lead and fills on You'll Go. Check out his instruments on the web page, mtbeach.com., and tour the studio. First recording as a drummer at a division of Decca Records in Boston in 1965 (see the CD sleeve), the Ha'pennys record became a collectors item in Japan. Amos went on to make recording his career, building the studio, Mountain Beach in 1983, and founding Empty Beach Recordsin 1999. The studio recorded basic tracks for Steve Miller's Italian X-Rays album, and Amos met Peter Cetera, who was relaxing in Sun Valley during his tour of the world with Chicago. Peter Cetera became a great friend and teacher, taking a track which became Big Mistake, the opening cut on Peter's solo gold album, Solitude/Solitaire. Empty Beach Records continues to work with Ned Evett, who has been touring 10/04, opening for both Eric Johnson and Joe Satriani. A second album for Amos Galpin is in production now, 10/04.
