Impressions

Rob Haffley is a member of the music faculty at LaSalle University. During the 1997-98 academic year at LaSalle University, he was awarded the Erwin and Carolyn Rye von Allmen Award for teaching excellence. Rob earned his B.M. degree in music performance with a Jazz Emphasis from the Philadelphia College of the Performing Arts (now the University of the Arts). He also holds a M.M. degree in music performance from Penn State University where he taught Jazz Studies while completing his degree.

Rob is active as a woodwind doubler (i.e. playing saxophone, flute, and clarinet) throughout the Philadelphia area. He has performed on two big band jazz CDs, one of which features world renowned jazz clarinetist Buddy DeFranco. Impressions is his debut as a leader, producer, composer/arranger, and woodwind soloist.
