Natalie Rose

Natalie Rose had a passion for music from the day she had her first piano lesson at the age of seven years old. During her early teens, Natalie began discovering her love of singing after hearing a recording by Eva Cassidy, her earliest inspiration. She played the piano for eight years before beginning classical voice lessons and started singing jazz shortly after her parents opened a coffeehouse/pub in small town Moscow, Idaho in 2000. The pub featured jazz every weekend and Natalie eventually began sitting in the groups performing there. In 2004, at 16 years old, she started taking lessons from world-wide acclaimed jazz vocalist Dee Daniels in Vancouver, BC and recorded her first CD with Dee as her producer in early 2005. The self-titled debut album, Natalie Rose, was released in October 2005. Natalie is now working with a quintet which performs at weddings, special events, coffeehouses and restuarants. At only 18 years old, her deep, sultry voice is surprisingly mature and is ideal for any style of jazz. Natalie's incredible voice paired with her height (6'1!) makes for a stage presence that wows every audience. Using improvisation rather than scat, the aspiring singer's variation on familiar standards is stunning; from relaxed, mood tunes to all-out blues, Natalie's passion for jazz will sing out!

...After hearing you sing/perform at our reunion this past summer, I have no doubts that you will be a star some day. Your sultry voice with perfect key is amazing. Keep up the good work! To the members of the Natalie Rose Jazz Quintet:

In so long as our Winefest Veterans can remember, we haven't had such a creative, energetic and beautifully sounding band at our event. We are so glad that we were able to have you perform this year...We brought in enough money to start up a scholarship program and support other opportunities for our members over the next year. -Sigma Iota
