Bazza Goes Up North

Once upon a time in DETROIT there was a family named Johnson. Annually they would take a trip 200 miles up north to the small town of GLENNIE to visit the grandparents. Seven kids, mom and dad jammed into a station wagon. Years later one of the sons,BARTON, would write a book about those journeys. It was called UP NORTH a better place in time. Somewhere between North Carolina and California on his own family journey,Bart would come across the Andrew Vachss website and purchase a copy of the cd Safe House and hear some guy named Bazza. He liked it! More years passed. Eventually Bart and Bazza started to correspond. That connection resulted in this cd. Twenty-nine songs based on the eight Johnson family poets represented in the book. So here it is. Burned in plastic. Bouncing off satelites and zipping through cables. One familys historical music document. Memories not lost on time. A scrapbook for the ears. ' someday when we are years apart-I'll use that love to warm my heart-for hearts grow lonley with the years-there are better ways than shedding tears' --------*Charlotte Raby-Johnson* Contact - writebrain@mac.com - to purchase the book UP NORTH a better place and time
