Aj Fischer is an award winning songwriter drawing influences from all parts of the US, including Austin, Tx. and Gulfport, MS. Her moody songs about travel, love, and our threatened environment, have tremendous staying power. She is the founder of Stonehouse Music Cooperative which celebrates and promotes local South Florida & Northern Michigan artists. She's performing at the South Florida Folk Festival- January 14&15, 2006 ( Ft. Lauderdale)

The Stonehouse Music Cooperative was inspired by Fischer's desire to bring musicians together after years of solo work. Placing different styles of music together from Bluegrass to Ballads, keeps the listener entertained and of course is way more fun than doing a solo CD... says producer/songwriter Aj Fischer.

Sven Gonstead appeared with Frostbitten Grass of Marquette, MI. on the CD, he also composes beautiful instrumentals on Dobro. Gonstead, along with Krebs and Fischer perform together as soloists, duos, and finally a trio. Find Sven's Luthier pages at www.gonsteadguitars.com

Jeff Krebs was given a guitar by his Grandfather at the age of ten and he's been playing ever since. I've played with a few rootsy bands, toured the states a bit, and went solo full-time in '94. My latest CD is called Keep an Eye Out some of which, is featured with the Stonehouse Music Cooperative.

Boe Harbison: (1951-2004) Although Boe was a musician since childhood, many of those who knew him never heard him play or sing until around 1994, when he founded Peacehill Music. Summertime Peacehill concerts became a part of the fabric of many people's lives, both permanent residents and summer folks in Michigan. In 2003 Boe released the CD Borderlands, which documents his many musical talents.

Preservation of Performing Arts & Their Venues: You are supporting a cooperative of musicians from northern rural Michigan & South Florida.

Proceeds allow us to produce this CD, and it's predecessors, but also brings musicians together for benefit concerts which aid causes such as: 1) The preservation of small town Theatres and Concert Halls 2) The Fight against Sulfide Mining in America 3) The recording and preservation of pure acoustic music.
